W. Fred Thal, DDS
Dr. Thal graduated from Washington University School Of Dental Medicine in St. Louis in 1973. From 1973 to 1975, he worked and lived in London, England, as a house officer in pediatric dentistry and oral surgery. In 1977, Dr. Thal completed the Pediatric Dentistry Residency program at the University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine.
Since 1977, Dr. Thal has been in private practice in New Britain. In October 1986, he became a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. He is currently on the staff of the Hospital of Central Connecticut and served on the Board of Governors of the Connecticut State Dental Association from 2006 to 2009.
Dr. Thal is married and has two children.
Eddie Rostenberg, DMD
Dr. Rostenberg earned his Doctorate of Dental Surgery (DDS) from the Intercontinental University in his native Mexico City in 1983. He then worked in private practice for two years before coming to the University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine, where he completed the Pediatric Dentistry Residency Program in 1987. He then did a Fellowship that included research and special care for disabled children.
From 1989 to 1990, Dr. Rostenberg attended the University of Kentucky School of Dental Medicine from which he earned his Doctorate of Dental Medicine (DMD). He is on the staff of the Hospital of Central Connecticut.
“Dr. Eddie” is a devoted soccer player. He is married and has two children.
Silvia Lobo Lobo, DMD
We are excited to welcome Dr. Silvia Lobo Lobo to our practice. Dr. Silvia has an extensive and distinguished dental background. She graduated from dental school in her native Costa Rica and then moved to Boston where she obtained a postdoctoral certificate in temporomandibular dysfunction (TMD) and orofacial pain, a Master's Degree, and a Doctorate of Medicine in Dentistry (DMD), all from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine.
Dr. Silvia has 14 years of experience in the treatment and management of temporomandibular disorders and orofacial pain. She worked as a faculty member at Tufts Craniofacial Pain Center. She has also been a contributor on a recently published comprehensive textbook of head, face, and neck pain. She recently completed her Pediatric Dentistry Residency program at Lutheran Medical Center in Springfield, Massachusetts.
Dr. Silvia enjoys spending her free time with her husband and daughter. She also enjoys hiking, quilting, and making jewelry.
Starting August 13, Dr. Silvia will be seeing patients in our office on Wednesdays 1-7 PM, Thursdays 9 AM to 5 PM and some Saturdays during the school year.
